I found loads of exciting books in my stocking
so while its cold I shall
snuggle up warm as toast
with the dogs
and have a read of them
cos there isn't much on tv
I like at the moment.
will there be anymore episodes of 'Waking the dead' ?
I do hope so
It's one of my favourites
I dont actually like winter too much anymore
Whilst I appreciate the beauty of it..
it has become something of a nuisence to this old girl
I can't tell you how many times i've been over whilst walking the dogs
My first thought is usually "have I broken anything"
then secondly
My glasses are ok.. what luck !
I know many are suffering real hardship through the winter
so my thoughts are with you and at least
we have each other for company and warmth
at least while we have electricity lol

I command the snow.
Stars falling from the heavens
On the landscape show.
Let crystal lace so perfect,
Fall on every limb.
Let the woods of sullen brown
Sing the Winter's hymn.
In the forest, quickly,
A shroud of white entombs.
Far from summers ending,
Free from November's gloom.
Bring glassy preservation
To the face of every stream,
Make summers flowing waters,
Become a distant dream.
All my winge´d children,
Dance with me this day.
Help me soon to bring the chill
And keep all warmth at bay.
Servants of the Ice Queen,
Let thy pillars fall.
Down from every ledge and sill,
Hear the North wind's call.

Anyway, Christmas is over, on to New Years Eve and Day,
a bit less work for me. Going out to a party, not for long tho,
will probably come home just after the clock chimes twelve.
Its just around the corner. How was your holiday my friend?
